Continuous production or the ability to keep a plant running is often the first priority of any purchaser within a company. Teleonix RTUs provide the necessary tools for a simple value added inventory management system that can be outsourced to suppliers or vendors.

Suppliers often suffer from high transport costs due to part load deliveries, wasted journeys and also due to rush or emergency deliveries. Customer forecasts are often non existent or are wildly inaccurate and suppliers are often faced with unpredictable demand surges that can be better managed with earlier notification of usage rates.

Teleonix RTUs enable suppliers to predict future usage due to current and historical usage patterns being available. Data presented via secure websites enable both processors and suppliers to collect real time data regarding usage rates, trend data and material levels at any time of the day and from any location.

Via a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) process the supplier (or even suppliers’ logistics contractor) can remotely manage their customer’s stock without the need for local order management or placement. This reduces the likelihood of manual order errors being made and takes away the cost of the manual ordering process.

Alarm warning systems typically by e-mails or SMS text message are set up to be triggered at minimum silo levels and automatic ERP re-ordering functionality can be incorporated with web based EDI links being established with the Teleonix RTU.
