Water Supply & Treatment

The very nature of the water and waste water treatment industry ensures that competitive remote telemetry solutions are a key requirement for companies.

In addition, water and waste water treatment companies are facing ever tougher regulatory compliance measures and have had to actively research solutions to lower costs, improve efficiency and to enhance the control of their assets. Our focus is to work directly with the utility companies and their partner engineering companies to improve efficiency in the treatment of water and control of effluent and sewage.

Teleonix RTUs are used to monitor the operation of flow valves, water pumps, water flow, chemical feeds and sewer control. Teleonix RTUs communicate directly to the Internet and offer the opportunity for a central control centre to collect and monitor data to take immediate appropriate action if required.

Instant alerts

Action is required if PLC controlling pumps or valve systems are faulty or malfunctioning. Teleonix RTUs will raise instant alerts on such occasions to enable action to be taken immediately in order to improve efficiencies and save costs.

Similarly, in the area of waste water treatment, often a local PLC will control pump systems for the discharge of various chemical feeds from numerous storage tanks. Teleonix RTUs will monitor the PLC performance and store historical data for regulatory compliance audits. Alarm signals commonly sent by e-mail or SMS text message will immediately notify key personnel of any actions to be taken and an instant upload of data to the Internet will occur.

In addition, Teleonix RTUs can also monitor the level of chemical feed in storage tanks and maintenance contract companies can efficiently schedule re-fill deliveries accordingly and prevent possible process interruptions due to non supply.

Teleonix RTUs can communicate with a vast variety of sensor technology from basic flow meters and probes to more advanced instrumentation. In waste water treatment, sensor equipment would often be installed in effluent treatment plants to control and monitor dissolved oxygen, pH/ORP, temperature, turbidity and other important indicators of water quality..
