| The DataEye mk3
This extremely competitive RTU not only acts like a traditional wireless data logger but also offers many more additional features. The DataEye mk3 is GPRS enabled for direct cost effective fast communication to the Internet and to enhance the life span of its standard battery set up. Battery power enables an even simpler and quicker installation on site and allows monitoring of even the most remote of sites. No GSM based RTU has the ability of such a direct Internet connection. Other benefits of GPRS are that it has by far the lowest operating cost versus GSM, PSTN and SMS Text Messaging systems. GPRS is also considered as the most reliable data connection and has a speed of over 1000 bytes of data every second being transferred. The DataEye mk3 will monitor, log and transmit data with a date and time stamp from the remote process directly to the Internet. It also has the ability to send alarms or alerts by e-mail and SMS text message when monitored parameters exceed remotely programmed trigger level points such as pH readings being too high or levels in a tank reaching the reorder point. This allows key site personnel to respond to events immediately before costs are incurred through process interruptions or inefficient practice. This latest RTU has been designed with functionality being a key driver along with flexibility. With flexibility in mind, in a modular set up the DataEye mk3 can handle up to 15 separately isolated sensor inputs from any form of digital or analogue interface with existing interfaces including pulse, RS232, 4-20mA and dc voltage. Data from the sensors are logged by the DataEye mk3 and then accessed via in-house Teleonix software over a secure connection to the Internet. The DataEye mk3 further differentiates itself due its unique ability not only as a data logger but to also offer control functionality. If you require control functionality and the ability to make an immediate response to a logged event with an action then the DateEyemk3 could be an ideal choice for you. For example, the action could be to reduce the dosage of chemical treatment for pH control within an effluent treatment plant. If logged pH readings by the RTU indicate potential wastage of chemicals due to high or low pH readings then the rate of dosage can be accordingly controlled by the DataEye mk3. Control functionality and software requirements are often bespoke to our customers so why not contact us to discuss your individual requirements. Also, why not download our DataEye mk3 brochure available in pdf format from this site.
