Teleonix RTUs enable our customer base to gain access to data when traditional hardware systems such as SCADA or PLCs are not connectable due to the remote location of processes within a site. Cable installation to link up such existing hardware is often not practicable and it can also be expensive and not an attractive option.

Teleonix RTUs enable data to be communicated at very low cost levels direct from remote customer sites to company personnel to help ensure the right decisions are being made and at the earliest possible point in time.

Teleonix RTUs monitor, log and transmit data with a date and time stamp from the remote site process directly to the Internet. Teleonix RTUs are all Wireless in that they use either GSM or GPRS networks for communication and are typically battery powered thus removing the need for a mains power supply. The latest leading edge Teleonix RTU now available in the market is the GPRS enabled DataEye mk3.

The DataEye mk3 communicates directly to the Internet without the need for a separate Internet Service Provider (ISP) or  for a base hardware station at the customer’s site. Separate ISPs or host base stations add complexity, reduce speed, scalability and reliability.

The remote processes on your or your customer’s site that would benefit from improved control and monitoring will be numerous and can vary from waste water treatment to pit meter reading to freezer temperature monitoring or emission monitoring from towers.

Wireless Teleonix RTUs are simple to install and can handle up to 15 separately isolated sensor inputs from any form of digital or analogue interface with existing interfaces including pulse, RS232 and 4-20mA.

Data from the sensors are logged by our units and then accessed via Teleonix software over a secure connection to the Internet. SMS text or e-mail alerts will trigger when preset parameters are exceeded such as pH readings being too high or levels in a tank reaching the reorder point. The DataEye mk3 can also offer control functionality in addition to its other features so offers more than a simple data logger.
